Welcome to the Quirindi Royal Theatre

…..Tidy Towns “Cultural Heritage Award” Winner 2012…

The Royal Theatre in Quirindi began showing its first films in 1930 and continued for the next 76 years. While patronage was patchy at times, it was with great disappointment to the community that the last movie was shown in 2006 by the then owners who had spent considerable time and effort over the years to bring the big screen to Quirindi. In 2008 the Liverpool Plains Shire Council purchased the building with the aim of restoring it to its former glory and grants from four different funding bodies were obtained to enable the project to proceed.
